  • CTA César E. Chávez Memorial Education Awards Program; Individual and Group Awards – Applications and projects must be postmarked by December 2, 2016 (please consider applying next year)
  • GLBT Safety in Schools Grant and Scholarship Program – Application due December 16, 2016 (please consider applying next year)
  • CTA Scholarship for Members – Up to five – $3,000  scholarships – Application due February 3, 2017
  • CTA Scholarship for Dependent Children – Up to thirty-five – $5,000 scholarships – Application due February 3, 2017
  • Del A. Weber Scholarship for Dependent Children Attending Continuation High School/Alternative Education Programs – One $5,000 scholarship – Application due February 3, 2017
  • L. Gordon Bittle Memorial Scholarship for Student CTA (SCTA) – Up to three – $3,000 scholarships – Application due February 3, 2017

Over the last 13 years we have donated over $3,000,000 to local teachers and students. Help us continue to support classrooms with field trips, sports equipment, instruments, technology, books, supplies and activities that enrich our local learning environment.

Last Chance for California Schools to Apply for 2017 Thomas R. Brown Athletics Grants

 Public middle and high schools in California that need a boost for their sports programs have until January 15, 2017, to apply for a 2016/2017 California Casualty Thomas R. Brown Athletics Grant. The application and information can be found at www.calcasathleticsgrant.com.  Qualifying schools can receive up to $3,000.

 

The grant is named after California Casualty Chairman Emeritus Tom Brown, who believes that teamwork, confidence and sportsmanship are important in developing great students who become productive members of the community.

 

This year, middle schools are now eligible to apply. Applications are being taken at www.calcasathleticsgrant.com. The deadline for sports programs in need is January 15, 2017, with 2016/2017 recipients announced in April.  Applications received after the deadline will be considered for the following year.
